Rich in Replaced has his own set of problems, but he can still help other people throughout the game. This mainly happens within the framework of side quests. You will likely encounter the first one in the second chapter.
At the beginning of the chapter, near the train station, you can meet a man named David. He needs binoculars, and the entire quest revolves around finding them. For completing it, you will receive several upgrades and the achievement “My Only Sunshine”, so it’s worth finishing. Here’s how to do it.
Starting the Quest
David is located at the foot of the stairs when you first enter this location at the beginning of the second chapter. He is fiddling with a telescope. Talk to him to learn about his desire to get binoculars. He asks you to take them from a girl in the arcade.
How to Find the Girl
Go left from David and enter the first door. This is the entrance to the train station.
Once inside, go down the stairs and keep moving left until you reach the large dinosaur head.
Enter its mouth, then head right until you get to the arcade where the girl (Susan) is sitting. Talk to her to ask for the binoculars.
Where to Find the Rectifier
She’s not going to just hand over the binoculars to a stranger. First, you need to get her a rectifier to fix one of her arcade machines.
To find it, leave the station and head left. Pass through the underpass past all the people until you reach the ticket machine.
Interact with it to pull out all the guts, including the rectifier. After that, return to Susan.
Give her everything you pulled out of the ticket machine. She will use the rectifier to fix one of her arcade machines.
How to Beat Her Record
Despite giving her what she wanted, she still won’t give you the binoculars if you ask. However, she promises to give them to you if you beat her record on the newly fixed machine.
Her score is 5000 points, exactly what you need to achieve.
In the game, you need to first pick up patients and then operate on them. As soon as the operations for the first group are completed, you must return to picking up new patients. You continue to follow this sequence until time runs out. You get points for each patient you successfully pick up and operate on.
The mini-game consists of two phases that alternate constantly.
Picking Up Patients
In this phase, you control an ambulance and look for patients – people of strange shapes – on the streets. Always follow the yellow arrow that points to them. To pick up a patient, simply run them over with the ambulance. When you’ve collected all of them, head to the large “H” (hospital).
There’s no particular strategy here – just move as fast as possible, following the arrow.
Operations
In this phase, you need to take an organ from the body on the left and carefully move it to the marked area of the body on the right without touching the edges. This is similar to the board game “Operation”.
It’s crucial to work quickly, as time is limited, but at the same time, you need to be careful. The game gives you a small allowance: your tool can slightly touch the edges. However, it’s better not to test this limit, as you can prematurely end the operation and miss out on points.
If you complete the game with a score above 5000, you can return to Susan and tell her about it. As a reward, you will receive the binoculars and an Immunity Module, which speeds up the use of medications.
Give Binoculars to David
After getting the binoculars, you can return to David. However, he will not be in the same place. Approach the place where he was standing and go up the stairs to the right.
Upstairs, go left to find David fiddling with his telescope. Talk to him to hand over the binoculars.
After that, he will ask you to turn on the generator that is right next to him. Do it and talk to him again. Then, the final dialogue will take place, and the quest will be completed. In the process, you will unlock the second genetic profile (increasing health), as well as receive the achievement “My Only Sunshine”.
