Smuggling in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check — how to find, what to take, and where to hide it

0 Shares

In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check players will have to inspect survivors at the checkpoint during a zombie apocalypse. Some visitors attempt to smuggle prohibited items through the checkpoint, and your task is to stop them. In this guide, we’ll explain what cargo needs to be seized, how to find contraband, and where it’s hidden.

Why Search for Contraband?

Starting from the 7th day at the checkpoint, inspections will be required — survivors will try to carry items that could jeopardize the checkpoint’s operation. For each missed dangerous item, players will be fined $100, and some objects may indicate a survivor’s infection. For seized contraband, players receive a reward of $100, and among the contraband, you can also find special collectible items, about which we wrote in another guide.

Where Can Contraband Be Hidden

Contraband may be found:

    • In the belongings of the survivor;

  • Inside the survivor themselves. Some hide prohibited items either in the stomach, mouth, or below the spine.

What Is Considered Contraband

Various objects can be found in people’s belongings. There are items that are definitely prohibited, and they must be seized.

These must be taken in any case:

    • Weapons: rifles, pistols, knives, swords, saws, grenades, grenade launchers, and machine guns;

    • Any type of ammunition;

    • Narcotics;

    • Items that can be used as weapons: saw and axe;

    • Syringes;

  • Pills.

What cannot be taken, but it is prohibited at the checkpoint:

  • Zombie body parts: heads and hands — they are considered contaminated.

If you encounter such items, you cannot take them — it is considered infectious. You need to mark it as contaminated through the “Symptoms” menu and eliminate the survivor.

    • Alcohol;

    • Food and drinks;

  • Brick.

How to Find Contraband

Baggage and bag search: the most basic method of finding contraband is to search bags and spill their contents onto the table. This way, you can track which items in the baggage are prohibited.

Customs Post Detector — as the game progresses, you can upgrade the Customs Post Detector, and at later levels, upgrades will appear for it. It will be able to detect rot, gunpowder, and chemicals. If the detector reacts to a survivor, it means they are carrying contraband.

X-Ray — on one of the days, the player will gain access to the X-Ray. In the third mode of the X-Ray, where organs are not visible, hidden items inside the body will be visible: you need to inspect the head, stomach, and pelvis. To retrieve them, approach the worker in a white chemical suit named Charlie, who will retrieve the hidden items, after which you can confiscate them.

Conducting inspections at the Customs Post and confiscating contraband in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check — one of the core mechanics of the game. You won’t be heavily punished for mistakes during inspections, as they happen regularly, plus some quests require you to interact with parts of a zombie’s body — for example, “Modern Prometheus.”

Some achievements in the game are related to smuggling:

    1. «Taken!» (Finders Keepers) — confiscate the smuggling goods from the survivor.

    1. «All Under My Skin» (Under My Skin) — confiscate the smuggling goods hidden in the survivor’s body.

  1. «This is Best Left Alone» (Can’t Touch This) — confiscate part of the zombie’s body that the survivor brought.
