In Crimson Desert, the challenge “Slope Descent” tasks you with sliding 50 meters while carrying a sealed Abyss artifact. It sounds simple, but the catch is you must cover the entire distance in one uninterrupted slide—no分段 attempts allowed.
That means you need to locate a single, continuous slope longer than 50 meters, which is surprisingly tricky.
Artifact location for “Slope Descent”: on top of a rock pile south of Hernand, directly between the Goldleaf trading post and Bloomwood Ranch.

The “Slope Descent” challenge
There are two early-game spots where you can pull off a 50-meter slide without stopping.
- Near the Howling Hill camp.
- Near Reed Valley.
Spot #1: Howling Hill camp
The road just outside Howling Hill camp that winds down the mountain toward Hernand.
Spot #2: Reed Valley

Between the two, the Reed Valley slope is steeper and therefore more reliable, but the first one can work too.
How to slide in Crimson Desert
To start sliding, sprint downhill, press the crouch key to enter a slide, and don’t touch anything until you come to a full stop.
- PC: hold Shift to sprint, then tap C to slide.
- PS5: press X to sprint, then click L3 to slide.
- Xbox: press A to sprint, then click L3 to slide.
On a controller, holding L3 triggers your Axiom Force ability instead of crouch, so make sure you just tap it.
Horse drifts also count as slides, so you could theoretically finish this challenge mounted. In practice, maintaining a 50-meter drift on horseback is much harder than on foot, so it’s not recommended.
