Yes, you should. The moment you learn the knowledge contained in a recipe, blueprint, alchemical formula, or crafting manual, it’s permanently unlocked for that character. Feel free to throw the item away or sell it—the skill stays with you forever.
Just make sure you’ve actually read the recipe before you sell it. In Crimson Desert you only “learn” after manually inspecting the item; simply having it in your bag doesn’t count.
How to learn a recipe
Open your inventory, highlight the “Crafting Blueprint” icon, then press CTRL (keyboard/mouse), L1 (PS5), or LB (Xbox) to study it.
Once learned, the item’s description will show the tag “Knowledge Obtained”.
The only reason to hang on to a learned recipe or crafting book is to gift it to specific traders for a rapport boost.
Armor and weapon merchants, for instance, love weapon- and armor-crafting books, while grocers and butchers prefer cooking recipes. Every vendor has a favorite gift category.
However, since rapport can also be raised with simple coin pouches or gold ingots, lugging stacks of paper across the map just to remember whom to hand them to is more trouble than it’s worth. Most of the time it’s easier to bulk-sell the lot and free up the slots.
Maxing rapport unlocks exclusive goods and trade contracts for supply deals.
