Mewgenics — a turn-based RPG where you level up your fighters through breeding. The goal of the game is to assemble a powerful squad of cats and survive a series of battles. However, from time to time, bosses will attack your base, which may destroy all the residents. In this guide, we’ll show you how to fight the Guillotine, how to get its head, and what it’s needed for.

How to Get the Guillotine Head

The Guillotine’s Head (Guillotina’s Head) — a unique quest item that drops from the boss “Guillotina.” The attribute has the following properties:

    • All battles transition to “Hard” mode;

    • Primarily, the cat with this mask will always attack if no other is nearby;

    • A 10% chance to inflict “Fear” on the enemy after an attack;

    • At the beginning of the fight with your cat, there’s a chance that the enemy will get “Fear” before the turn begins;

  • After the cat dies, this mask returns to the player’s inventory, unless it was used at the meat altar.

The Boss Guillotina

The Guillotine (Guillotina) — the boss of the first act who attacks the player’s house. This monster can be found on “The Boneyard” or in “The Caves.” Seven days after encountering the creature, it will attack your shelter. To obtain its head, you need to defeat the giant in three battles.

In the battle with the boss, cats will participate who will be in your house. Therefore, make sure they don’t conflict with each other and also have equipment according to their build. In case of defeat, you will lose both the fighters and the equipment. Furthermore, The Guillotine will return in seven days.

    How to Defeat the Guillotine

    If your cats aren’t ready for battle, send in one warrior and prepare for the next visit. When fighting the Guillotine, we recommend using these units:

      • Necromancer: Summons mobs that can be used as bait;
      • Hunter: In battle, you need to maintain distance. Therefore, without this unit, you won’t be able to win;
      • Tank: This class can absorb a lot of damage. Don’t put him next to the boss, but keep him alongside the squad so that other cats take less damage;
      • Cleric: Thanks to the cleric and tank combination, you can maintain the squad’s health throughout the battle. Proper distribution of these units will allow all the kittens to survive;
      • Thief: The boss’s main problem is low speed and lack of maneuverability. With this unit, you can deal critical hits from the rear. Keep the cat at medium range and don’t let the monster trap him in a corner.
      • Hunter: Maintain distance.
      • Tank: Keep him alongside the squad so that other cats take less damage.
      • Cleric: Proper distribution of these units will allow all the kittens to survive.
      • Thief: Don’t let the monster trap him in a corner.

        Arrange the units around the edges of the arena so that you can coordinate the boss’s actions. Try to eliminate the monster from the first minutes of the battle. Assemble a squad that can deal more than 50 damage in a single turn.

        Why the Head of the Guillotine is Needed

        This artifact will be needed in the Meat Cave (The Throbbing Domain). At a certain point, you will find yourself at the altar, where you must make a sacrifice to the Meat King. The best unit for this role is a tank that will absorb damage throughout the entire run. Level up all units except the sacrifice unit, because your squad will not go into battle with the boss in full strength.
