Monster Hunter Stories 3 packs a whopping 120 side quests to keep you busy whenever you’re not pushing the main campaign or hunting new Monsties. With that many quests on the board, it’s tough to tell which ones are worth tackling early and which can safely wait until the credits roll.

This guide lists every side quest in Monster Hunter Stories 3 along with their rewards. We’ve also added quick walkthrough hints in case you get stuck.

Every quest in our list is grouped by the game’s four regions and sorted alphabetically. Before you dive in, keep these side-quest basics in mind:

If you can’t find the spot, look for a unique map icon in that region—it usually points the way.
Some quests require partnering with specific allies. If you don’t see the quest while exploring, finish that character’s personal story first.
Many quests only unlock after you complete a previous one (e.g., the Pukei or Velocidrome chains). Always knock out whatever’s available so you don’t accidentally lock yourself out of later missions.

All Side Quests and Rewards in the Kalant Woodland in Monster Hunter Stories 3

In the Kalant Woodland, players will tackle 41 side quests. While there are noticeably more here than in Azuria or Ceratith, the number is only slightly lower than in Tarkuan. Make sure your team includes monsters that can climb walls and dig, as these quests will send you into every nook and cranny of the region.

Watch Where She Points	Travel to the Backwoods Catavan Stand and walk north to find the Pointy Lady. Walk in the direction she points to find a Red Khezu, which you’ll need to defeat. The lady will appear in the area behind the defeated Red Khezu. Interact with the ground near her and the defeated Red Khezu to pick up a Worn Saddle. Fast-travel to the Colossal Dragon’s Remains Lookout Point Catavan Stand and walk north. Speak to the Heedless Egg Hunter and trade the Cast-Iron Chisel for a Prismatic Crystal. Return to Galyad and walk further into the city on the right side. When you come across an Insect-Loving Artisan, trade the Prismatic Crystal for a Gorgeous Necklace.
