Diamond is one of the most valuable crafting materials in Crimson Desert, required to forge or upgrade Abyssal gear. Merchants won’t sell it; you have to mine it in caves. Diamond deposits are rare across the continent of Pywel, but luckily you can find one fairly early. Here’s how to locate the cave and harvest the gems.

How to mine diamonds in Crimson Desert

You can discover the diamond cave early in the game, south of the Howling Hills camp of the Graymane clan. The diamonds lie inside Hernand Plateau Cave, located south of the camp in a huge sinkhole—the same pit where you solved the Dragon Stone Chambers puzzle to unlock the Abyssal Beacon fast-travel point.

Before heading out, buy a pickaxe from the supplier’s shop in Hernand so you can mine the diamond veins.

Stand on the rim of the large sinkhole and look down the southern wall to spot a small cave entrance. Drop to the bottom and go inside. Follow the narrow, winding passages—stalactites line the way.

At the end of the cave you’ll finally find diamond-ore deposits that you can extract with your pickaxe or the Power Palm ability. Each vein can yield up to two diamonds, which you must pick up from the ground after mining.

Once you’ve collected enough diamonds in Crimson Desert, visit the witch to craft new Abyssal gear or upgrade what you already own. You can also sell diamonds to merchants for a tidy profit—they’re a solid source of silver coins.
