How to obtain a rideable Rock Yellowclaw Jumper in Crimson Desert

  • Save

Ever wanted to ride a bird in Crimson Desert? Now you can! The Yellowbeak is a stunning mount you can obtain, and below we’ll show you how to find and hatch your very own Rock Yellowbeak Jumper.

It may not be as fierce as the Silver Fang or as fast as the best horse, but it has its own charms: a quirky crest, a hefty frame, and the ability to glide to avoid fall damage. This adorable bird is a new mount you won’t want to miss.

All you need to get a Yellowbeak is a mask—because you’ll actually be stealing an egg and a journal that teaches you how to raise it.

Climb the tower. Hold L2 to cling to the wall, then use Palm Strike (R3) to rotate the wall and reveal a secret room. Inside, you’ll find the Yellowbeak egg—grab it, but stay inside the room afterward; you’ve just stolen the egg and will be marked as wanted.

In the same room, there’s a table with the Research Journal of the Rock Yellowbeak Jumper. Take the journal as well; you’ll need it to learn more about caring for your new mount.

Now that you have the egg, head to the Royal Shield Mountains in Demenis. Place it in the nest at the tree marked on the map above (north of the “D” in “Demeniss”). Open your inventory, select the Yellowbeak egg, then hold L1 and press Triangle to set the egg in the nest. If done correctly, the egg will start glowing orange.

Stay by the egg for about five real‑time minutes. When it’s fully orange, interact with it and the Yellowbeak will hatch. Finally, interact with the newly hatched Yellowbeak to register it as your permanent mount.

This is the Rock Yellowbeak Jumper—able to jump and glide, landing safely from great heights! We’re not sure if other varieties of Yellowbeaks exist, but if they do, we’ll update this guide.
