In Crimson Desert, Wavecutters are unique boots that dramatically speed up swimming. They’re tucked away in a treasure chest inside a cave hidden behind a waterfall in the Delésia region. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get them.
How to Find the Wavecutters
The Wavecutters lie in the Keeper’s Cave, concealed behind a waterfall. That waterfall sits beneath a large wooden bridge just southeast of the letter “L” in “Delésia” on your map.
- Fast-travel to the Abyss Trace “Serpent’s Tail Wall.”
- Head southeast to the bridge, then drop down to the waterfall below it.

A small stone cairn right in front of the waterfall always marks the hidden cave. Spot the pile, then lunge through the water with a thrust attack to slip behind the falls.
Once inside, explore the cave and open the treasure chest to claim the Wavecutters.
How to Use the Wavecutters
- The boots come with the special skill “Wavecutter.” While Cliff is swimming, press your quick-dodge button to trigger it:
- PC: Alt
- PS5: Circle
- Xbox: B
- Each use propels Cliff a long distance forward, letting you cross bodies of water in seconds.
- The skill holds 5 charges. They refill on a short cooldown of about 5 in-game minutes (5 real-time seconds).
- Note: Only Cliff can equip the Wavecutters, and they cannot be upgraded.
