The “Circle of Friends” mission in Crime Scene Cleaner Act 2 has you scrubbing down Holden’s mansion. On its first floor (the game labels it “Floor 2”) you’ll run into a locked red door. To open it, Kowalski needs the “Hidden Memories” key. Here’s where to grab it—and what’s waiting behind the door.
Where to find the “Hidden Memories” key
The key is tucked beside the staff quarters. Head to the town square, slip into the garage, climb the stairs inside, glance left, and crawl out of one of the windows.
Kowalski lands on a small roof. Follow the ledge around to the back of the building where there’s a hidden nook. You can either edge along and hop or vault the blue railing, then hop back onto it to reach the spot.
You’ll know you’re in the right place when the map updates to “Staff Quarters.” Look down at the half-built bird’s nest and pick up the “Hidden Memories” key.
How to open the mansion’s first-floor door
Head back through the window into the garage and walk to the far end of the corridor. Ignore the kitchen on your left and go through the door on the right. You’ll now be inside Holden’s mansion. Take the staircase on the left to reach the second floor (the game still calls it “First Floor”).
Beside the coffin-shaped office is an arch leading to an even higher level of the mansion, though technically it’s still considered the “First Floor.”
Climb the stairs, walk up to the locked red door, and use the “Hidden Memories” key.
The door swings open into a small treasure-packed room. Loot on the desk and in scattered chests can be sold for a tidy profit. While there are no audio tapes here, the safe hides a fat stack of cash.
