After completing Pragmata, you may feel a sense of emptiness or like you’ve been punched in the gut. But there’s good news! This isn’t necessarily the end of your journey on the Moon, as you have Unknown Signal waiting for you.
In this mode, you’ll be able to take on a series of new challenges and earn powerful rewards. It even allows you to alter the final scene a bit.
How to Unlock Unknown Signal Mode
Unlocking Unknown Signal mode is simple — you just need to complete the game. That’s it. Instead of loading an old save, select “Unknown Signal” from the main menu using a completed game save. Your equipment and progress before the final battle will be retained, and you’ll find yourself right before the last fight.
After returning to the Shelter in the tram network, a new section will appear — Hidden Camera. Here, you can complete a series of ten different challenges, each unlocked in a unique way. Completing them all will earn you all the rewards.
How to Unlock and Complete All Unknown Signal Challenges
The challenge capsules in the Hidden Camera look similar to the Training Capsule in the Shelter. And in a way, they are. The environment is very similar, and they can be restarted. They have no time limit or failure conditions. Only a victory condition.
Each challenge is unlocked in its own way, and they also contain hidden rewards. The details for each challenge are below.
You’ll also receive excess materials for completing these challenges, which will unlock the Exchange System, where you can trade them with the Cabin for Lunafilm.
Armor Piercing
- Unlocked by default
This is a series of combat challenges that are more like training for the Hidden Camera. You’re given a large amount of “Sledgehammer” weapons with the goal of defeating all enemies with them. Although, in reality, you can use any weapon.
In the room to the side, you can find Pure Lunum, and at the end, you’ll receive a Cabin Coin, the “Sympathetic Hack” modification, and a Shelter License Key of level 5.
Jump, Jump, Jump
- Unlocked by achieving 100% progress in the “Solar Power Plant” sector
This is a platforming challenge. You have all the time in the world, so don’t rush. There are no penalties, you just need to reach the end, so be careful.
Along the way, you can find Pure Lunum and 2000 Lunafilm, and at the end — the “Better Luck” modification and a Cabin Coin.
Enclosure
- Unlocked after defeating the enhanced SectorGuard
This is a series of rooms with recyclers. Although enemies can be defeated in any way, the most effective way is to lure as many opponents as possible onto the recycler’s path.
At the end, you’ll receive a Cabin Coin and the “Slowdown” modification, and at the very beginning of the challenge — 2000 Lunafilm.
Just Do It!
- Unlocked by achieving 100% progress in the “Mass Production Arrays” sector
This is a platforming challenge with many moving platforms and constantly working recyclers. Like other challenges, don’t rush and make it to the end in one piece.
At the end of this challenge, you’ll find a Cabin Coin and the “Grace” modification.
Battle Nexus
- Unlocked after defeating the enhanced Creator
This is a series of combat challenges, the difficulty of which increases as you progress towards the final.
At the end, you’ll receive a Cabin Coin, 2500 Lunafilm, and two Pure Lunum, as well as 1000 Lunafilm and another Pure Lunum hidden along the way.
Container Rearrangement
- Unlocked by achieving 100% progress in the “Terra Dome” sector
In this challenge, you’ll need to use hacking to rearrange containers to build a path to the very top. After moving some containers, remove them to look under them and push others up.
Along the way, you can find 2000 Lunafilm, and at the end — Pure Lunum and a Cabin Coin.
Floating Conveyor
- Unlocked after defeating the enhanced Gardener
This is a mix of platforming and combat challenges. You’ll need to defeat enemies in each zone to progress, while also overcoming various moving platforms.
At the end, you’ll receive one Cabin Coin.
Weightlessness
- Unlocked by achieving 100% progress in the “Lunum Mines” sector
This is a platforming challenge that uses gravity from the Lunum Mines area. You’ll need to move around the location to find and activate various switches.
Along the way, you can find 1500 Lunafilm, and at the end — a Cabin Coin and Pure Lunum.
Driller Pit
- Unlocked after defeating the enhanced Lunabore
You’ll need to move around a series of platforms, avoiding the Lunabore in the sand below, while also finding switches that will open the door at the end.
Along the way, you can find 1500 Lunafilm and Pure Lunum, and at the end — another Cabin Coin and Pure Lunum.
Final Challenge
- Unlocked by achieving 100% progress in the “Central Port” sector
Despite being called the “Final Challenge”, you can complete it as soon as it’s unlocked, although it’s one of the most difficult. You’ll have to fight several previous bosses, as well as some of the toughest regular enemies in the game.
Along the way, you can find 1500 Lunafilm and Pure Lunum, and at the end — the “Cyber Thief” modification and a Cabin Coin.
All Rewards for Unknown Signal
After completing all the challenges in the Hidden Camera, a room that was previously sealed deep in the area will be unlocked. Inside, you’ll find four unique rewards:
- Lim Gun — essentially a weapon for New Game+, which deals damage by consuming your Lunafilm.
- Obsidian — a black and green costume for Hugh.
- Black Neon — a black and green costume for Diana.
- Black Box — a modification that doesn’t affect gameplay but unlocks a new scene in the ending if equipped.
After completing the Unknown Signal mode, these items will be available by default in new games.
