Zhuang Fan has been known to players of Arknights: Endfield for some time, especially thanks to her key role in the storyline of the city of Wulin. And now, finally, in the April 2026 update, she can be recruited as part of the Headhunt system.

As a master of Electrical Arts, Zhuang Fan is perfectly suited for electro-teams focused on accumulating and spending stacks of the “Electrification” status. However, there are many ways to assemble this operator, effectively using her best weapon, talents, and equipment sets to turn her into one of your strongest characters.

Best Equipment and Gear for Zhuang Fan

We met Zhuang Fan in Arknights: Endfield some time ago, when she played such an important role in the story of Wulin. Now we can use her shockingly powerful Electrical abilities – she is one of the best mages presented in the latest updates. If you have already mastered the mechanics of applying stacks of “Electrification” to enemies, then Zhuang Fan will become a key link for bringing this tactic to the maximum and dealing colossal damage.

Her primary characteristic is Will, and her secondary is Intelligence, which opens up many assembly options through weapons and equipment. In her role in the squad, she is a striker, which should be considered when forming the best team for her. This makes her exceptionally strong in combat with single targets.

Best Equipment for Zhuang Fan

Lonely Barge (6★, mage). As Zhuang Fan’s signature equipment, this artifact is her best choice. It can be obtained in the Arsenal or recruited from the corresponding banner. It significantly increases Will and Attack Power, as well as multiple times enhances her electrical damage, radically improving her Combat Skill.
Flickers in the Fog (6★, mage). If you have a Protocol Pass and chose this equipment as a seasonal reward, it will become an excellent alternative for Zhuang Fan. It provides solid bonuses to Intelligence, magical damage, and critical hit chance, making it an excellent choice if you don’t have access to the “Lonely Barge”.
Forgetfulness (6★, mage). This equipment is also available in the Arsenal on the same banner as the “Lonely Barge” and is an excellent second option if you failed to recruit the signature equipment. It increases Intelligence and magical damage, and its “Twilight” skill increases critical hit chance and further enhances magical damage, creating a triple threat for enemies.

Given that Zhuang Fan fits so well into the strongest teams, it’s no surprise that her best partners are operators who can also apply and use stacks of “Electrification”, such as Perlica and Arklight.

Perlica is almost a must-have in teams with Zhuang Fan, as the latter’s long cooldowns can be a problem. Perlica also effectively applies “Electrification” to enemies, allowing to use Zhuang Fan’s Combined Skill much more often.

Arklight pairs well with Zhuang Fan thanks to her stable SP regeneration, which is a huge bonus, considering how much SP Zhuang Fan requires for effective combat. Additionally, applying the “Electrification” status to allies enhances Arklight’s Combined Skill, making this duo mutually beneficial on the battlefield.

As for the fourth slot in the team, Ayvienne perfectly complements our best team option with her powerful “Thunder Spear” attacks, which continue the line of electrical damage. She fits well into most electro-teams, including Zhuang Fan’s team.

If you don’t have Gilbert in your operator list, don’t worry – her role can be performed by several other characters. Akecuri is a good choice for SP regeneration during combat, and Tantan provides an alternative element on the battlefield if you want to summon the forces of nature.

Alesh can also help with additional SP regeneration, and Antal will be a good choice if you need additional buffs.

Prioritizing Zhuang Fan’s Upgrade

Zhuang Fan is one of the best users of Electrical Arts in Arknights: Endfield at the moment, and her skill list is quite impressive.

Her Basic Attack is standard and consists of up to five hits, dealing electrical damage.
- If she performs the final hit near a stunned enemy, she will deal even more damage and restore some SP for herself and the entire team.
However, Zhuang Fan is most powerful thanks to her Combat Skill – “Mantra of Fissure”. It increases the damage multiplier and consumes stacks of “Electrification” to apply this status even stronger. The more stacks she spends, the more powerful her “Fissure Blades” become, which she directs at one enemy, dealing colossal electrical damage.
- Unlike the Combat Skills of most other operators, which simply update the status, this skill enhances the current “Electrification”.
Combined Skill of Zhuang Fan is also very powerful: it deals electrical damage to enemies and applies “Electrification” to those who have already been affected by this status.
Finally, her Ultimate Ability – “Storm of Retribution” – turns into “Empyrean of Truth”, temporarily improving her Basic Attack, Combat Skill, and Combined Skill, as well as significantly increasing her interruption resistance. The last application of the skill does not consume SP and guarantees the creation of three “Fissure Blades”.

Zhuang Fan deals the most powerful and frequent damage using her Combat Skill, so we recommend upgrading it first when leveling up her Skill Matrix in Arknights: Endfield. This is not only her primary source of damage but also what makes her stand out in teams focused on “Electrification”. Regardless of the team composition, any electrical operator will appreciate how easily Zhuang Fan applies this status.

Since her Combined Skill becomes so simple and powerful to use when the Ultimate is activated, we focused on it second – this is her primary method of applying “Electrification” to enemies in an enhanced form. Next is her Ultimate Ability, which provides significant enhancements for all of Zhuang Fan’s best attacks and significantly increases her characteristics while “Empyrean of Truth” is active.
