Starting a new life in Paralives means embracing fresh beginnings that might feel unfamiliar. Unlike most life simulators, which lump all workout-related abilities into a single skill, Paralives breaks fitness into several core skills.
In this guide we’ll explain what the fitness skill is, how to level it up, and what perks a high fitness level unlocks. Get everything you need to keep your Characters happy, healthy, and well‑trained in the way that suits them best. In this small town, there’s no wrong way to build fitness!
Paralives is currently in early access, so details may change. We’ll update this guide as needed!
What Is the Fitness Skill?
The fitness skill is an umbrella term for all workout‑related abilities. Whether you’re using gym equipment or just dancing around the room with no gear, fitness determines how well your Characters perform exercises and how quickly they improve.
You can boost this skill by reading fitness books or studying the topic, and by improving related skills while your Characters are in a good mood. A bad mood slows progress, and no new points are awarded.

How to Improve the Exercise Skill
Generally, you raise the exercise skill by running around the district or using various sports equipment. If your Characters move faster than a brisk walk, you’re already working out!
Without gym gear, buy some for your home or wait for the town market to open. There’s a bench press at the market near the library that you can use for free.
How to Improve the Dancing Skill
To practice dance moves, click an open spot and choose “Dance Here” to get your Character dancing. Their moves may start off clumsy, but they’ll improve with practice.
Doing this also boosts the fitness skill. Like most other abilities, you can let your Character improve it while they sleep if you’ve unlocked the corresponding sleep benefit from the storyteller. This is an excellent passive ability, as your Characters earn a solid amount of points during rest.
