First, you’ll need to create your family, but success depends on developing their skills. One of the most satisfying skills to level up is the artistic skill, which opens up countless creative possibilities. Here’s everything you need to know to improve it and turn your characters into real artists.

What is the Artistic Skill?

The Artistic Skill is a general skill that covers all forms of art in Paralives. Raising this skill means you’ll pick up other art-related skills under its umbrella much faster.
Leveling up the Artistic Skill requires focus, since your characters won’t earn points if they’re in a bad mood or feeling unwell. That said, by practicing related skills, you can improve multiple abilities at once!
You can boost the Artistic Skill by reading books or taking online classes. You can also dream about it if you’ve unlocked the relevant bonus through your storyteller.
How to Improve the Painting Skill
To level up the Painting Skill, you’ll need an easel. You can buy it in the Build/Buy menu under the “Hobbies” section. Once it’s placed in your home, you can start painting portraits or abstract works of art.
Creating art isn’t free—you’ll need to spend money on canvases to get started.
As you level up, you’ll unlock more painting types you can complete. When a painting is finished, you can either take it and display it in your home or sell it for profit!
You can also buy a kids’ coloring set if you want a more relaxed way to paint, but it won’t produce any displayable art.
