In Crimson Desert, Ronid’s Great Shield is a solid-gold shield studded with rubies. It’s tucked inside a treasure chest in a locked room on the upper floor of Lioncrest Manor.
The manor sits northwest of Hernand, directly under the letter “D” in “Hernand” on the map.
How to get Ronid’s Great Shield
Before you head to Lioncrest Manor, make sure you’re carrying either a key to open the locked door or a mask so you can swipe a key once inside.
- You can buy a mask from the alley trader southeast of Hernand for 10 copper, earn one by collecting the bounty on Geoffrey, or loot one off the bandits camped near town.
- Keys are sold by the same trader or drop randomly from defeated bandits and other foes.
Once you’re ready, follow these steps:
- Leave Hernand and ride northwest to Lioncrest Manor.
- Sneak inside. If you don’t have a key, steal one from the table on the balcony overlooking the main hall.
- Head upstairs, locate the locked door, and open it with your own or the stolen key.
- Inside the room, open the treasure chest and claim Ronid’s Great Shield.

Note: if there are NPCs in the room, stealing the key from the table will cost you influence points in Hernand and place a small bounty on your head. In that case, it’s safer to secure a key before entering the manor.
