How to Unlock Every Character in Raccoin: A Guide to Classes and Their Unique Traits

  • Save

In Raccoin you’ll flip coins and chase high scores while playing as one of six unique characters. They’re adorable animals, each with a day job and hobbies in real life. Every critter specializes in different perks, passive abilities, and coin types, giving them a distinct playstyle.

Only one character is available at the start; the other five must be unlocked by meeting specific conditions. This guide explains how to open every Raccoin character and breaks down their quirks so you can decide who to main.

Manager

  • Save

As the first unlocked character, the Manager has some of the most useful and straightforward perks in the game. You’ll be using Math coins whose effects are dead-simple—they raise the value of your other coins. His perks also grant two extra Swaps per round and boost ticket income.

Best of all, he’s available from the very beginning. Play a few rounds with him to learn the ropes, even if you unlock the next character mid-run.

Biologist

  • Save

The Biologist is all about flora and fauna, so you’ll be juggling Animal and Plant coins. These types add a layer of complexity: their effects usually require other coins to trigger. Rabbit coins, for instance, need to line up with more Rabbits, while predators like Wolves need Rabbits to gain value.

He’s still beginner-friendly thanks to simple effects and bonus coins whenever you use a Swap.

He’s the first unlockable character.

Just reach round 8 while playing the Manager (win or lose after that doesn’t matter).

Chemist

  • Save

On the easier side of the spectrum, the Chemist is a lovable pup who specializes in Elemental coins. With them you’ll set off plenty of explosions that shove your coins around the board.

Consumable summon modifiers turn okay coins into good ones and good coins into great ones. Being able to stack five of them is exclusive to this character.

Dynamite and Whirlwind coins are among the best early-game pickups, so you’ll be in good paws.

Unlock the Chemist by reaching round 9 with the Biologist.

Trader

  • Save

The Trader loves the Wheel of Fortune, so he shortens the combo needed to build spin energy. The wheel spawns prize orbs or flings coins onto the field, making this perk invaluable once you’ve learned to chain combos.

You won’t run into many tricky coins except Jet Coin, whose final value is random (it can even subtract points—handle with care). Unlock him after playing the Chemist and hitting round 10.

Astronomer

  • Save

Things get interesting now. The Astronomer’s coins feature a unique “Astro-jump” mechanic that lets them hop across the board and land elsewhere. There are several ways to trigger it, and you usually gain more value when you do.

He can be tricky, but we recommend him: once you’re comfortable you’ll go far—especially with Sun coin and modifiers that squeeze every last point out of it.

You also get one free use of an astronomical coin per round, perfect for dropping your best one at the start of every stage.

To unlock the Astronomer, reach round 11 with the Trader.

Glutton

  • Save

The Glutton is one of the hardest characters, though that doesn’t mean he’s unwieldy. Like other archetypes, his coins only shine when mixed with others. He uses Food coins—Chocolate coins, for example, are unremarkable on their own, but you can treat them as ingredients to upgrade other coins.

His exclusive perk, the Cooking Pot, lets you literally “cook” coins for buffs. Unlock him by reaching round 12 with the previous character, the Astronomer. That’s close to the end: round 15 is the final stage.
