After exploring the peaceful meadows of the “Wild Forests” chapter in the game Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, you’ll venture into a harsher mountainous region. This new area is home to a variety of creatures that have adapted to life in the mountains, and with them come new “Smile-Flowers” to discover.
How many creatures can be found in the mountains?
Similar to other regions (except the “Wild Forests”), the mountains are inhabited by six types of creatures:
- Taggit
- Mild
- Pekadi
- Fluffy
- Flambrilla
- Tadd
Note: Creature names may be subject to change, so we’re using their default names here. In total, you can collect 26 “Smile-Flowers” in the mountains.
How to collect all Taggit “Smile-Flowers”
Taggit has three flowers to offer.
Taggit Flower #1
To reach this flower, you’ll need to throw Taggit into a basket that’s just out of reach. Once he grabs the flower, catch him to claim your reward.
Taggit Flower #2
Near the end of the level, Taggit will snatch a flower from the “Winged Cloud”. Catch him to obtain the flower.
Taggit Flower #3
You’ll need to find a third Taggit and use his ability to access a hidden platform, where the flower awaits.
How to collect all Mild “Smile-Flowers”
Mild has three flowers to offer.
Mild Flower #1
The first flower is perched atop a tall plant. Use Mild to jump higher and reach it.

Bounce on several Milds to reach the summit of the tall plant, where the flower awaits.
Mild Flower #3
Pop a few Milds in the pink pond, causing them to multiply. This will give you enough “trampolines” to hop to the cave’s upper level.
How to collect all Pekadi “Smile-Flowers”
Pekadi has four flowers to offer.
Pekadi Flower #1
Grab Pekadi and throw him to smash a rock, revealing a flower inside.
Pekadi Flower #2
Find a high platform just beyond the central tree, where another flower is waiting.
Pekadi Flower #3
Use Pekadi to break another rock in a hidden area, uncovering a flower.
Pekadi Flower #4
The last Pekadi flower is perched atop a cliff, accessible using the creature’s abilities.
How to collect all Fluffy “Smile-Flowers”
Fluffy has five flowers to offer.

Near the end of the level, stay with the highest group of Fluffy to reach the final flower.
How to collect all Flambrilla “Smile-Flowers”
Flambrilla has four flowers to offer.
Flambrilla Flower #1
Find the hidden “Winged Cloud” on the right at the start of the level and hit it to make a flower fall.
Flambrilla Flower #2
Use Flambrilla to swim past an obstacle and find a flower in a secluded spot.
Flambrilla Flower #3
The flower is perched on a platform that can only be reached using Flambrilla’s ability.
Flambrilla Flower #4
The last flower is hidden behind a waterfall that can be traversed using Flambrilla.

Tadd has seven flowers – more than any other creature in the game.
Tadd Flower #1
Let Tadd inhale you and fire at the left ceiling. This will take you to a small area with “Crazy Daisies,” one of which holds a flower.
Tadd Flower #2
Use Tadd to shoot into a hidden passage on the right.
Tadd Flower #3
Hit the belly of a sleeping Tadd to make him spit out a flower.
Tadd Flower #4
After Tadd wakes up, let him inhale you and fire upward to find a flower on a platform.
Tadd Flower #5
Once Tadd stands, exit outward and turn around so he launches you upward into a small hole in the ceiling – the next flower is there.
Tadd Flower #6
Near the end, there’s a large pond. Make Tadd inhale all the water, which will open a small cave. The flower is inside.
Tadd Flower #7
At the very end of the level, past the completion portal, keep moving right and let Tadd inhale you. Fire right-upward to reach a small niche with the final flower.
