The superhero project Dispatch has captivated millions of comic book fans around the world. Players take on the role of a dispatcher for a special rescue service. They must allocate heroes to requests to help the residents of Torrents. In this guide, we will talk about all the key and secondary characters in the game. You will learn who is friends with whom on the Phoenix team, as well as the ancient enmity between Robert Robertson and the villain Shroud.
Robert Robertson, Mecha Man (Robert Robertson, Mecha Man)
The main character of the game. Before becoming a dispatcher for the superhero service, he was Mecha Man, until Shroud and his gang destroyed the suit. He decided to become part of the SDS during his first meeting with Blonde Blazer. The girl promised that the company is ready to fully restore the robot for good work.
Mecha Man works thanks to a special device — the astral pulsator, which disappeared without a trace after the crash. Without the suit, Robert is an ordinary person with deep knowledge in engineering, programming, and management.
The whole game revolves around Robert’s relationships with all the characters, which we will describe in detail in the following sections.
Beef (Beef)
Robert’s dog. The hero loves the pet very much and always carries it with him on shifts. In addition, the dog is liked by many characters, and especially Chase. In the last episode, the villain uses Beef to force Mecha Man to surrender.
Chase, Track Star (Chase, Track Star)
A former superhero from the Mecha Man squad of the last generation. In his youth, he was a close friend of Robert, who perceives him as an older brother. Chase can develop incredible speed, but at the same time, the aging process accelerates. That’s why at 39 years old, he looks like an old man.
Chase will teach Robert the basics of dispatching and regularly encourage him. He also loves Beef, so he bought the dog a bunch of toys and a soft bed. After Invisigal’s actions on the ship, he will be in intensive care because using his ability at his «age» is смертельно опасно. In the final episode, Blonde Blazer will give him some of her powers, thanks to which he will get new abilities and stop «aging».
Royd (Royd)
In his youth, he used to commit petty theft until he came across Robert’s father. Besides his giant growth and great strength, the guy has a talent for inventing. This is what the early Mecha Man noticed. That’s why he pulled himself together and joined the SDS.
Thanks to Royd’s talents, it was possible to restore Mecha Man’s suit. In addition, he modernized the robot and added many new functions. The only problem was the lack of an astral pulsar — an element that he could not restore on his own.
So he teamed up with Invisigal and found the location of the astral pulsator. Royd is on good terms with Robert and participates in the battle against the villainous gang in the final episode.
Elliot Connors, Shroud (Elliot Connors, Shroud)
Once Elliot was an ally of Robert’s father. But there were disagreements, and Shroud shot the former friend with a revolver, then went underground and organized the terrorist organization «Red Circle».
Robert became Mecha Man and tracked down Shroud, but fell into a trap, as a result of which he lost his suit. Then the villain built a plan in which the hero becomes a dispatcher in the SDS and with the help of friends finds the astral pulsator he needs.
Shroud needs the astral pulsator to enhance his abilities. In addition, he is driven by an old hatred for the Robertson family. At the end of the final episode, the main character will have the opportunity to decide the fate of the villain.
Mandy, Blonde Blazer (Mandy, Blonde Blazer)
A superheroine with superpowers. Uses light energy and can fly. Blonde Blazer worked a lot in the SDS and rose to the position of branch manager. Actively participates in the rehabilitation program for former villains. Recruited Robert Robertson into the dispatch service.
Blonde Blazer supports Robert in every way and helps him work with the Phoenix team. In the seventh episode «Retrospec», she saves the hero from Shroud’s gang’s trap, and then takes part in the final battle with the «Red Circle».
She was in a relationship with Phenomaman, but broke up with him due to different views on life. Blonde Blazer can become Robert’s girlfriend, and will also calmly accept rejection if the hero wants to remain friends. At the end of the final episode «Unity», she will temporarily give her power to Chase.
Courtney, Invisigal (Courtney, Invisigal)
Has skilled combat skills and can become invisible. However, her ability is tied to breathing, but she suffers from asthma. Before the SDS, she was one of the most important members of a criminal organization, where she was provided with technology to eliminate the symptoms of the disease. Therefore, in «ordinary» life, the girl has to use an inhaler.
The completion of the storylines of the final chapter «Unity» largely depends on the relationship with the hero. The decisions made in relation to Invisigal in past episodes have an impact. For example, whether Robert protected her when the Phoenix squad demanded exclusion from the team, and how he reacted to the truth about the real reason for Mecha Man’s destruction. In addition, romantic relations can be established with her.
Victor, Sonar (Victor, Sonar)
A hybrid of a bat and a human. In normal condition, he has a high intelligence and charisma, and in beast form, he can fly and has incredible strength, while his mind is preserved. After graduating from Cambridge, he became a fraudster and committed a number of large financial frauds, for which he received a sentence, but by a lucky chance, he took part in the villain rehabilitation program from the SDS.
In the third episode «Churn», he can be fired. Since he is friends with Malevola, she gets very angry…
