Raptors have been spotted in the “Crimson Desert” region, and if you’re looking to add one to your collection as a new mount, this guide is here to help. Below, we’ll cover everything you need to know, from the right food to use to the exact location where you can find them.
You can tame the red-feathered raptor at the Crimson Mountain fortress in eastern Tashkalpa. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find them and what food to bring, so you can add this adorable dinosaur to your menagerie of pets and mounts!
If you’ve already liberated the Crimson Mountain fortress, you can enable the “Re-lock” option in your settings. This will give you a chance for the fortress to be recaptured by enemies, but keep in mind that it’s not guaranteed that raptors will appear again. The “Pearl” company is expected to resolve this issue soon.
Where to Find and How to Tame Raptors in Crimson Desert

Raptors can be found and tamed in the area surrounding the Crimson Mountain fortress, located in the eastern part of Tashkalpa in the Crimson Desert region.
From our experience, raptors only seem to appear when the area is under enemy control and needs to be liberated. If you’ve already freed the area, you might not be able to find raptors, as they spawn alongside enemy riders in this location. However, “Pearl” often addresses such issues promptly.
If you’re lucky and haven’t liberated the Crimson Mountain fortress yet, you can still get your hands on a raptor! All you need to do is bring around 5 units of any type of meat (we sourced ours from butchers and through hunting).
You can easily knock the rider off the raptor using a “Spin Attack” (R1+R2). After that, chase the raptor and mount it like you would any other mount. Then, open your inventory and, while holding A/X on the food item, press “Feed” to feed the raptor.
You’ll need to feed the raptor until its trust reaches +100. Once you’ve reached that threshold, press (Y/Triangle), and the raptor will be tamed as a permanent mount.
