Moon Jumper is a vehicle added to Starfield with the “Free Lanes” update. This rover is considered one of the best for planet exploration, and you can get it absolutely free—though finding it involves a bit of luck.
Moon Jumper Location
Moon Jumper is located at the “Abandoned Radio Broadcast Station.” This is a randomly generated point of interest that can appear when you land on any planet or moon in the game.
At the station you’ll be greeted by Spacer bandits. The white-and-orange, fully enclosed rover itself is parked in a garage outside the main building.

To claim the vehicle, simply hop into it. Moon Jumper will then be permanently added to your list of available transports. You can select and customize it for free at any ship-services technician across the Settled Systems—no need to buy a “Vehicle Bay” or any other rover first.
How to Find the Abandoned Radio Broadcast Station
This point of interest spawns randomly. To locate it, land on different planets and check the surface map at your landing site. The station is marked by a square icon that resembles a bunker.
If you don’t find it on your first try, the only method is to keep landing in new spots to “reroll the dice” and generate fresh points of interest near your touchdown point. Players report discovering the station—and the rover—on a wide variety of worlds, including Hawking I.
