In Crimson Desert you can find a huge variety of weapons, armor pieces, and crafting materials scattered across its vast open world. From blades that fire spheres of light to gold ingots you can sell for a tidy profit, there’s plenty to hunt down.

One easy-to-miss set is the Leather Armor of the Scorching Flame, hidden around Demeniss. Here’s everything you need to know to collect every piece.

Scorching Flame Plate Gauntlets location

To grab the gauntlets, head northwest of the letter “D” in “Demeniss” on the map. Look for the spot where several streams converge into three waterfalls (shown above). You’ll see two falls side by side and a third standing alone. Approach the paired falls and drop into the gorge they spill into.

Walk up to the right-hand fall and follow the stony path straight into the churning water. Perform a piercing strike (Right Trigger + Y on Xbox / Right Trigger + Triangle on PlayStation) to break through into the cave behind. Follow the tunnel to pick up a Purified Palmer Pill, a few small treasure chests, and the chest containing the Scorching Flame Plate Gauntlets.

The gauntlets are perfect for fire builds: they come pre-upgraded to +2, sport 14 ATK / 6 DEF / 0 Crit, and carry two Abyss gear slots. One slot restores Spirit on hit; the other unlocks “Volcanic Eruption” whenever you use a fire-amped skill, pelting the area around you with volcanic rock for solid AoE damage.

From the gauntlet cave, exit back behind the waterfall and immediately turn left into another cave system leading to a large chamber.

Inside, several boulders assemble into a boss called Gravewalker. Don’t let its size scare you—this fight is straightforward.

When the battle starts, Gravewalker turns into a stone tornado and rushes you. Roll left or right just before it connects. If you’ve got the stamina you can block, but I’d advise against it—you’ll be too drained to dodge the follow-ups.

Focus on either arm and attack between its swings. Its most dangerous move is an overhead smash that hurts. When you see it raise both arms, back off, wait for the crash, then move in.

Your goal is to fill the yellow stance bar under its HP to stagger Gravewalker. This shatters the boss into several rocks, so unload while it’s stunned. It takes massively increased damage while staggered and dies quickly before it can reform.

Once Gravewalker falls, head to the upper-right corner of the room (shown above) and palm-strike the wall, holding the dagger in place with the left trigger. This opens a secret wall and teleports you into a hidden room containing a chest with the Scorching Flame Plate Cape.

You can also score a Sorcerer’s Staff by lighting the two braziers flanking the metal bars in the main boss chamber.

Return to the top of the twin falls and look left—you’ll spot one big waterfall.

Glide over and land on the narrow stone ledge leading toward the water. As with the gauntlets, use a piercing strike to burst through the fall into another cave.

Follow the tunnel to the end to loot several small chests, a Purified Palmer Pill, and a large chest with the Scorching Flame Leather Boots. The boots offer 13 ATK / 3 DEF / +2 Crit and +1 Shock Resistance, plus two Abyss slots: one grants +10 % EXP gain, the other slow passive HP regen.

From the boots, head northeast to a small cluster of buildings labeled Stone Well Farm. Look for a shack with a short balcony in front of a wooden door. Climb onto the balcony and go through the door. Hug either wall as you approach the chest—there’s a trapdoor in the floor that will drop you into the lower level.

Inside the chest is the Scorching Flame Plate Helm. It comes at +2, 4 DEF, and one Abyss slot with +1 Fire Resistance. The visor stays open, so if you don’t like the “being swallowed by a dragon” look you might skip it—unless you want the full matching set.

Finally, head east from Stone Well Farm until you reach the Golden Exchange. You’ll see a long multi-storey building. On the ground floor, walk to the middle where two men are chatting with an ogre and look for wooden panels that resemble a door.

Crouch, approach the panels, and walk forward to open a hidden rotating door.

Inside is a small room with a chest containing the Scorching Flame Plate Armor. It gives 14 DEF, +2 Crit, and +7 Fire Resistance, but no Abyss slots—making it best suited for fighting fire enemies or exploring Crimson Desert.
