The “Um, this mesmerizes me” achievement in Life Is Strange: Reunion is one of the easy-to-miss variety. It’s not tied to the main story, and you only get a short window to unlock it. Here’s how to grab it.

When and how to unlock the achievement
Save
The achievement becomes available the morning after Max’s nighttime rescue. Once Chloe brings her to the cabin, the scene jumps to the next morning and you’re in control of Max.
Instead of making coffee or doing anything downstairs, head straight upstairs and walk over to the bed where Chloe is sleeping. A short cut-scene will trigger.
Save
Just let the scene play out. The camera will cycle through a few angles set to the series’ signature music. When it finishes, press B (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) to regain control. The achievement “Um, this mesmerizes me” will pop immediately.
This moment isn’t a key story choice and won’t affect anything that follows.
If you missed it the first time, use the “Select Scene” option from the main menu to jump back and claim it.
