The “Teran Armada” expansion was released in April 2026 along with the Free Lane update for Starfield. This new content adds a new faction, a new companion, and a new type of space combat to the Settled Systems.
To embark on adventures with Delta and engage in skirmishes with powerful armaments, you’ll need to purchase the expansion and initiate the new quest by listening to a special broadcast. If you’re having trouble accessing this content, here’s everything you need to know to get started with the “Teran Armada” expansion.
How to Start the “Teran Armada” DLC Quest

The “Teran Armada” expansion can be purchased for $9.99, and it’s available to all Starfield owners. After buying the DLC, restart the game if necessary and make sure you’ve completed the first quest in the “Lodge”. This applies to both the first playthrough and the “New Game+” mode.
Head to Aquila or New Atlantis and find the SSNN broadcasting terminal. In Aquila, it’s located to the left of “The Rock,” and in New Atlantis, it’s in the Trade District, near the coffee shop.
Stop by the SSNN broadcasting terminal and wait for it to broadcast an announcement about the luxury liner “Opulence Of The Stars”, which has been captured by the Teran Armada fleet in the Nirvana system.

If the announcement doesn’t appear immediately, complete a side quest and then return to listen to the terminal again.
Once you hear the announcement, the quest will initiate, and you’ll be able to head to Nirvana I to join the search party. Upon arrival, Agent Yemodja will contact you and brief you on the situation. Use cruise mode to reach Nirvana IV and explore the area.
Investigate each of the storms marked with blue quest markers until you find the missing liner, and dock with it when you’re nearby. Board the ship to start the first quest of the “Teran Armada” expansion.
