How to obtain cartridges and modules in NTE (Neverness to Everness)

  • Save

To obtain cartridges in NTE, you need to farm the “Rabbit Hole” using the character’s pixels. Modules are much easier to acquire – just use the “Rewind” function on the character page. However, both of these resources are time‑limited because of the energy and material systems, so fully leveling a character in NTE will require a patient approach.

How to Get Cartridges in NTE

  • Save

Cartridges in NTE can be obtained by completing the “Rabbit Hole” trial. This dungeon is located at Cape Square, south of the New‑Hurland district. Each run consumes 40 character pixels (local energy).

  • Save

Approach the rabbit to start the trial, then choose the level you want to run. Different cartridges with distinct sets of effects drop on each level. Choose the one that matches the character you are leveling.

  • Save

Clicking on a cartridge shows its set effect. The set effect is activated when you insert modules of the correct shape into the character.

Note: Cartridges also have a primary stat, so you’ll need to farm not only the desired set but also the appropriate main attribute.

How to Get Modules in NTE

To obtain modules in NTE, open the character page, go to the “Console” section, and click the “Rewind” button in the lower‑left corner.

Here you can select one of three difficulty levels: “Easy,” “Normal,” and “Hard.” Easy yields blue modules, Normal yields pink/purple modules, and Hard yields gold modules. Higher difficulties unlock as you increase your hunter rank: Normal unlocks at rank 20, Hard at rank 30.

Each extraction consumes “Carrots,” which you receive in the “Rabbit Hole” together with cartridges. Of course, “Carrots” can also be obtained from other sources, such as level‑up rewards or quest rewards.

When Normal and Hard levels become available, you can choose exactly which eight modules you want to receive. This raises the “Carrot” cost but makes it easier to get the desired shape.

Character Console in NTE

  • Save

With cartridges and modules in hand, you can start assembling the character by placing them on its console. Each esper has its own console shape, so building different heroes offers some variety.

Each character also has a unique effect that rewards using modules of a specific shape. For example, Nanalli gains a 6% critical hit boost for each installed Type II module.

  • Save

When you have the correct stats and shapes, you need to upgrade the cartridges and modules using “Manhole‑Cover” coins. There are three types of this material: “Bruiser,” “Trickster,” and “Boss.” This material also drops in the “Rabbit Hole” stages.
