The quest “The Great Thief Dante” in Crimson Desert isn’t a standalone bounty; it’s part of the Felix family’s side storyline “Family Matters.” To unlock it you’ll need to meet a few conditions first.

  • Dante only appears after you’ve progressed to Chapter 4 of the main story and completed the city of Hernand’s faction quests.
  • The bounty poster can be found while exploring the outskirts of Hernand; it’s nailed to a wooden pole. Pick it up and read it to add the mission to your journal.
  • The map marker will point you south-west of Hernand, east of Witchwood, across the river in the Hernand Highlands, past the Grey Mane camp in the Howling Hills.

  • When you arrive you won’t see Dante right away. First you’ll need to clear the Inkworth bookbindery of the “Bleeding” bandit gang—a small camp of regular enemies that’s part of the Felix family questline.
  • After you defeat the bandits, Dante shows up in a short cut-scene and immediately tries to run.
  • Don’t waste time: chase him down and use the “Grab” action (X/A) to tackle him. After a few punches you’ll get the prompt to tie the great thief up.

Tip: don’t start looting the workshop until Dante is immobilized. If you ignore him he can despawn or run too far away.

Turning in the bounty and wrapping up

  • Deliver the bound Dante to Hernand’s jail, just like any other criminal. You’ll earn 8 silver and influence points.
  • Handing him in completes two Felix family quests and lets you continue the “Family Matters” storyline.

Important: like almost every criminal in the game, Dante must be delivered alive. Kill him and you’ll only receive half the reward.
