At the start of Life Is Strange: Reunion you meet Moses to figure out how to stop the fire at Caledon University, but first he wants to test your rewind skills with three trials.
How to find out who killed Master Sword Frost
For the first trial Moses asks you to name the killer of Master Sword Frost from the anime No True Samurai. To answer, you need to search his office.
Find the No True Samurai poster on the brick wall on the far side of the room, next to the paint and stepladder. Examine it for story details.
Then head upstairs. The figure you need is on the small metal bookcase to the right of the kettle; it depicts a schoolgirl.
Inspect the figure and read the name on the base—Mina Hiramatsu.
Now perform a full rewind to the moment before Moses asked the question. Talk to him again and give the name “Mina Hiramatsu” to pass the first trial.
How to get the mug out of Moses’s cabinet without breaking it
The second trial is to retrieve an item from the locked cabinet at Moses’s workstation.
First, grab the screwdriver hanging above and to the right of the cabinet.
Use it to break the lock; the mug will fly out and shatter. Immediately quick-rewind to restore the mug and put it back inside. Now you know what will happen and can prepare.
Walk over to Moses’s comfy chair on the other side of the stairs and take the cushion. Max will automatically place it under the cabinet before prying the door open. The mug lands on the cushion and stays intact.
Pick up the mug, rewind to fix the cabinet door, and hand the mug to Moses to complete the second trial.
How to keep Moses from starting a fire in the office
For the final trial, stand on the “X” marked on the floor as Moses asks. He’s about to drop the mug from the upper level, but his faulty kettle starts setting the nearby desk on fire.
To save him, instantly rewind. Then prevent the re-ignition—run upstairs and yank the kettle’s plug from the socket.
You may not reach the kettle before it sparks again, but Max’s rewind doesn’t affect her own position. So dash closer to the kettle, rewind to a moment before it sparks, and unplug it before it can ignite Moses.
It wasn’t the trial Moses had in mind, but it still counts. By saving him from the kettle you finish the final test and prove your mastery over time.
