As you progress through the Tides Of Tomorrow storyline, you’ll quickly notice that the gameplay is mostly linear, except for changes in the story due to your decisions. For the most part, you’re sent to an island to witness its history, and eventually, you leave it to move on to the next location.
However, there are a few things that add an element of exploration. Usually, it’s hidden piles of scrap metal or lore recordings that you can read. But at the Main Outpost, you can also meet a captain who will give you some scrap metal if you answer his questions correctly.
Where to Find the Captain
Save
To participate in the captain’s quiz, you need to do it during your first visit to the Main Outpost, as you won’t find him after that. To get to him, first, enter through the main door, where the guard won’t stop you if the Tider you’ve chosen hasn’t worsened the situation in this area.
Once you enter the outpost, you’ll see a guy being pushed around as his “ozen” is being stolen. Then, this person will slowly approach the yellow house to the right. Follow him up the stairs, and you’ll see a few more steps leading to the roof. Climb up to this roof, and you’ll see the captain sitting there.
After talking to the captain, answer “yes” to his question about whether you’re interested in the quiz.
