All Piranha unlocks in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book: a complete guide for the “Miniworld” chapter

As you journey through Mr. E’s chapters in the game Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, you’ll encounter a variety of new creatures, but some familiar faces will also make an appearance.

One of these creatures is the Piranha. You might not even recognize it as a Piranha at first glance. Fortunately, there are only a limited number of discoveries to be made about this creature.

Where does the Piranha first appear?

The Piranha can be found in Chapter 9, “Mini‑World.” It won’t appear until the very end of the game, and like other Mini‑World creatures, it doesn’t show up in any other chapters.

This means that all Piranha discoveries can only be made in its native habitat, which at least makes collecting them a bit more manageable.

Spikes may develop with age	Let the adult Piranha eat larger items until it grows into a big Piranha with spikes.
Can’t be eaten… but seems to be ticklish	Try to eat the adult Piranha to discover this quirk.
Even grown up, it’s no match for eggs	Hit the adult Piranha with an egg to see how it reacts.
Turned green like Poprygushka	Feed the adult Piranha a Poprygushka to change its color.
Water doesn’t help it grow	Let water drip onto the small Piranha in a pot to observe its effect.
Grew up in a flower pot	Let the small Piranha in the pot eat items until it grows into an adult Piranha.
Its jaws can crack a hard nut	Feed the adult Piranha a nut to test its strength.
Can become a good night‑light	Let the small Piranha eat glowing insects in a dark cave until it starts to glow.
Did some garden work	While holding the adult Piranha, let it eat all the grass on the level.
Blue as a butterfly	Feed the adult Piranha a blue butterfly to change its color.
Turned into a shining, shimmering gold	Feed the adult Piranha a Golden Beetle to change its color.
Eats beetles to produce spores	Let the adult Piranha eat beetles until it releases spores that grow into small Piranhas.
Knocked the Queen down!	Defeat the huge Queen at the top of the level with a fully grown Piranha to complete the level.
Doesn’t like boxes	Let the adult Piranha destroy boxes to see its reaction.
