Bite by Night is a popular horror survival game in Roblox, with a concept similar to the multiplayer strategy game Among Us. In each match, you and your team try to survive, escaping from the killer, and earn rewards such as Pickaxe, Experience, and others.
The best survivors in Bite by Night are the Medic and the Guard, while the best killer is the Doppelganger, making them the most recommended classes to unlock. However, since the game also heavily relies on strategy, team composition is crucial, so you’ll need diversity. Below is a tier list ranking all survivors and killers from S to B, with a brief description of their abilities and effectiveness in the game.
Each team in Bite by Night needs all four survivor classes to safely complete a round. But since there can be more than four players on a server, it’s helpful to know which classes are most effective to spend your earned Pickaxe on first. Below is a ranking of all player types from best to worst.
Medic: A mandatory unit for your team, almost necessary to last the entire night without being caught. Medics can heal and even “overheal” their team, restoring 30 HP at a time, plus an additional 15 HP if the target already has full health. You can “overheal” Fighters and Guards at the start of the match so they last longer and perform their roles more effectively. Fortunately, Medics can also heal themselves, making them a strong support character during Bite by Night rounds.
A-Tier Survivors (Powerful Units)
Guard: Another excellent player type to choose in the game. Has the highest health among all players and plays a key support role. Can mark killers for teammates, helping them avoid danger by checking security cameras.
Guard: Can also use a stun gun to slow, disorient, and stun the killer for up to 9 seconds. The stun gun works even on the Doppelganger, who can transform into a survivor. Additionally, when viewing survivors through security cameras, the Doppelganger can be identified by a red outline.
Client: This class helps the team complete tasks faster. It has a self-healing ability called “Pizza” that allows for constant HP restoration. This means that even after taking a few hits from the killer while fixing generators or installing batteries, they can get by without a medic’s help. The Client class also has another ability called “Soda” that increases stamina and speed for a few seconds. However, after its effect, the character slows down for a short time, so you need to act strategically.
B-Tier Survivors (Decent Choice)
Fighter: Fighters mainly serve as tanks for the team. They can stun the killer using the “Swing” ability and apply debuffs such as temporary blindness and disorientation. They can also block attacks by parrying, which in turn enhances their main ability. This makes the Fighter class very useful for gaining time, especially when the killer has surrounded your teammates. Although the Fighter has a bit more health than the Client and Medic, they will still need a Medic to heal when their HP gets low. If played carelessly, the Fighter can be one of the first to be taken out by the animatronic.

S-Tier Killers (Meta)
Doppelganger: The most expensive but also the best animatronic in Bite by Night. It can observe players, lure them in, and deal 32 damage with its abilities. Its key feature is the ability to disguise itself as a killed player, allowing it to deceive survivors before attacking.
A-Tier Killers (Powerful Units)
The Rotten: Surprisingly strong killer for a free character. Has several useful abilities that drain HP: “Swing”, “Rush”, “Skeleton Claymore”, and “Bear Trap”. When used correctly, they deal significant damage and help win the round.
B-Tier Killers (Decent Choice)
The Project: An average animatronic with three modes: Strength, Speed, and Stealth. While it sounds impressive, the abilities in each mode are not very powerful, so it’s better to save up for the Doppelganger.
