What to do with extra ancient coins in Resident Evil Requiem — where to spend them?

In Resident Evil Requiem, players can find many ancient coins scattered throughout the rehabilitation center. These coins allow you to receive various bonuses and upgrades for Grace, but even after purchasing all the upgrades, some may remain in your inventory. In this guide, we explain how to use the remaining antique coins and get the most out of them.

Ancient Coins in Resident Evil Requiem

Ancient Coins (Antique Coins) — special consumables that can be exchanged for useful items from the showcases located in the Parlor, which is situated on the first floor of the western wing of the Care Center. During the game, you can find 22 coins that will be needed to purchase upgrades.

Ancient coins are intended for purchasing the following items:

      • Hip Pouch: Ancient Coin (3). Expands Grace’s inventory;

      • Stabilizer: Ancient Coin (4). Affects shooting accuracy;

      • Steroids: Ancient Coin (4). Increases maximum health;

      • Blood Collector Manual: Ancient Coin (6). Increases the blood collector volume by 50 units.

What to do with the remaining ancient coins

The game has various difficulty levels, which affect the number and placement of items that appear in the game. The plot also features many irreversible points. Therefore, the abundance of antique coins is due to gameplay mechanics.

You shouldn’t perceive ancient coins as a collectible item; they belong more to the category “Rare Currency.” Note that they don’t pass into the “New Game+” mode, where they will again need to be collected and purchased from the cabinet all improvements. However, the developers have thought this mechanic through and provided players with a way to get rid of unnecessary coins.

To do this, you need to enter the secret scientific complex “Ark.” Then get to the location “Monitor Control Room” and find the safe in which the recipe for making debris (Scrap Recipe) lies.

Therefore, you can get rid of unnecessary ancient coins and process them into scraps. It takes five coins to produce one portion. The reward, of course, is not impressive, but at a high difficulty level, any little thing will come in handy, moreover, extra items in your inventory will no longer bother you.
