The double jump in Crimson Desert is a movement skill that lets Kliff leap higher, making exploration easier. It’s invaluable when traversing Pywel’s vast open world and solving puzzles that require the “Aerial Palm Strike.” Unlike the classic double jump in other games, this mechanic works differently. Below, we explain every way to unlock the skill and how to turn it into triple, even quadruple jumps.
How to unlock the double jump in Crimson Desert
Via the skill tree
The main method is to spend one Abyssal Artifact on the corresponding node in the skill tree. Once unlocked, tap the jump button twice to perform a double jump.
Important: Kliff must be touching a surface—ground, water, an object, or even an NPC—to trigger it. Think of it as a charged second jump off a surface, not a mid-air hop.
Learn it for free
To save your Abyssal Artifact, head to Pororin Village, southwest of the Howling Hills camp, by completing the quest “The Unreachable Village.”
When you arrive, you’ll spot three Shai kids practicing double jumps on a boulder. Walk up and press LB / L1 / CTRL to observe them and learn the skill for free.
If you’ve already spent an artifact, use a “Tarnished Artifact” to refund the point, then learn the jump at no cost.
How to perform triple, quadruple, even quintuple jumps
Chain extra leaps by using “Aerial Palm Strike” while airborne. For max height, double-jump first, then tap RS / R3 / Middle Mouse to palm-strike upward.
After upgrading Palm Strike, you can charge two or even three aerial strikes per jump, sending Kliff sky-high. Perfect for reaching distant spots (especially in the Abyssal Realm) or gaining altitude before gliding.
The trick also helps you escape water: chain a few palm strikes while swimming, then transition into a glide to reach land.
