While running the “Research Request” quest for Palmer’s leaves in the Pororin village lab under Crimson Desert, players may hit an unexpected wall. At 50 % progress you’ll be told “Research Halted: Palmer leaf research in Pororin suspended” with no further explanation.

Talking to lab director Lumière yields nothing either; the research queue simply shows “Research Halted” frozen at 50 % with no hint how to resume.

Fixing the suspended research

Open the pause menu and your Journal. Head to “Faction Quests” and open the “Pororin Forest Wardens” category on the Hernand tab.

Follow the quest marker to find the Pororin research assistant standing under a huge tree. Talk to him and he’ll explain he needs a Palmer leaf to continue.

Follow the marker again; it leads to a giant tree in a hidden part of the village. The glowing green leaves at its base are Palmer leaves. Inspect them one by one to find the right leaf—it may take several tries, as the item is not guaranteed to appear.

Once you find a Palmer leaf, return to the research assistant and hand it over. He’ll confirm the research can now resume.

Go back to the lab and talk to Lumière to open the research queue. Check the Palmer leaf entry—you’ll see progress ticking again. Wait six in-game hours for the research to finish.

Open the research menu again via Lumière and click “Research Complete” in the lower-right corner to wrap up the quest.

Completing the Palmer leaf research raises the maximum arrow stock for the “Self-replenishing Arrows” item in Crimson Desert.
