Focused Palm of Power in Crimson Desert is a unique ability that lets you smash through barriers and reveal hidden passages. The story is supposed to hand it to you early, but it’s easy to miss—locking you out of entire zones and activities. This guide shows you how to grab it and put it to work.
How to Use the Focused Palm of Power
Save
The skill shatters barriers that conceal doorways. The trick is to aim through a solid surface at the object holding the barrier in place, then strike at the right moment.

Here’s the input:
Mouse: Press “X” to enter focus, then hold middle-mouse to aim.
Gamepad: Press “LS + RS” (or “L3 + R3”), then hold “RS” (or “R3”) to aim.

While charging you’ll gain x-ray vision, revealing the object that sustains the barrier. Move the “Spirit (leaf)” icon onto that object—when it touches, the target glows gold.
The instant that happens, release the button to deliver the blow. The barrier collapses and the path opens.
Tip: Stand well back from the barrier so the falling Abyss Cage doesn’t zap you. Once it drops you can snag it with Axiom Force and later use it at Kilnden’s workshop to craft Kuku gear.
How to Get the Focused Palm of Power (During and After the Quest)
Save
The ability unlocks automatically during the “Scholastone” quest in Chapter 4: “The Price of Knowledge”. While hunting for a way into the Scholastone Institute you’ll hit an iridescent barrier. Beside it is a hologram; interacting with it teaches you the skill.

If you walked past it, return to the spot marked on the map above after the quest is done. The hologram stays put—simply study it to learn the move.
Alternatively, the skill becomes available by default in Chapter 9. Still, grabbing it early is strongly recommended so you don’t miss out on content.
