Starsand Island — a meditative sandbox where you can build a cozy farm, engage in gardening, furnish your dream home, or explore picturesque tropical islands. But over time, even the most spacious plot can prove to be too small for all your barns, fields, and coops. In this guide, we’ll explain in detail how to expand your territory and acquire all available plots in Starsand Island.
You’ll learn what quests to complete to unlock the purchase option, where to find teachers for skill development, how many coins and stardust will be needed, as well as how to avoid endless grinding.
How to Expand Your Plot in Starsand Island
After a while in the game, your plot will become cramped. Therefore, it needs to be expanded. To do this, you need to perform the following actions:
- Take your character’s phone.
- Find the excavator icon “Buy Land” (Buy Land) in the lower left corner.
- A plot plan will open, consisting of a square divided into nine cells, with the house located in the center.
- Select a plot with the lock icon you want to unlock.
- Press the orange window on the right “Confirm”.
This mechanic works in all locations. Please note that after purchasing land, natural resources located on its territory will stop replenishing.
How to Unlock the Land Purchase Mechanic
At the start, this mechanic is locked and will unlock as you progress through the main questline. You can view all tasks in the palm application “Life on the Island” (Island Life). To unlock the ability to purchase plots, complete these tasks.

Teachers and Professions in Starsand Island
To avoid wasting time searching for teachers, familiarize yourself with this list.
- Crafting, Zarina (Zerine>: Works in her blue store (Zerine’s General Store) southwest of the hero’s house;
- Farming, Graminova (Graminova>: The Happiness Seed Shop is located opposite Zarina’s store. The mentor can wander in the garden behind the store;
- Ranching, Pastelle (Pastelle>: The Green Pasture Ranch is north of the hero’s house;
- Fishing, Delphin): Search in the area east of the island (AquaBlue Outpost);
- Exploration, Zephyria): The Exploration Club is located to the west of the island near the ranch.
Sometimes the teacher is not on the spot. In this case, open the map and zoom in as much as possible with the camera. Find the round mentor icon in the surrounding area. You can also click on the student icon with the Confederate hat (Mentors) in the left part of the screen. Then a list of all tutors will appear. When you press on one of them, the map indicates their current location.
Decorate Your Home
Place six pieces of furniture in your house. Get to Zarina’s shop, look towards the square and turn right along the road. You will see the carpenter’s shop (Lex Woodworks) on the left side, where you can buy chairs, armchairs and other things. Also suitable is the furniture that you make yourself.
First Pot of Gold
Accumulate 2,000 coins by selling ready-made dishes or caught fish. It doesn’t make sense to sell resources in general. The most money is brought by complex items obtained through crafting. Get to know ten residents. Go to the city and talk to everyone you meet.
Junior Talent
Reach the rank of “Apprentice” (Junior) in any profession by completing the first task from any of the teachers. Complete five tasks from the Bulletin Board, which is located on the city square near the Community Center. If the tasks seem difficult, come the next day when the board will update.
After the quest “Young Talent” begins the task “Island Pro” (Island Pro), in which you need to buy a plot of land. The first upgrade will cost you 2,000 coins and 50 Starsand. The price will continue to rise with sharp progression. The next plot costs 15,000 coins and 75 Starsand, followed by 30,000 coins and 100 Starsand. Expanding your holdings is the most expensive purchase in the game, so carefully plan such purchases.
At the beginning, do not waste all your efforts expanding the land. Level up workbenches, obtain complex recipes, increase agricultural production to produce many complex goods and sell them. Complete quests and main quests to avoid mindless grinding.
How to Unlock All Plots
In addition to the starting plot, there are still three large plots in the game. They are unlocked as you progress through the story. You also need to meet a number of requirements:
- Cloudrest Lake: Complete the 11th storyline quest “Home Builder,” where you need to purchase six starter plots.
- Blue Beach: Complete the 16th storyline task “Bright Star,” in which you must purchase all “Cloudrest Lake” plots.
- Windflute Island: Build a bridge to this island during the quest “Paving the Way.” Complete the final task “Starsand Legend.” Purchase all “Blue Beach” plots and construct ten stations.
Don’t think about building a cottage on a private island in the early stages of the game, as this is a very expensive project that requires a lot of resources. It’s better to focus on establishing production chains, which will allow you to earn coins and stardust.
