Resident Evil Requiem stands out from previous installments with a variety of infected enemies. The player always needs to keep in mind that zombies almost never die permanently. Even if you’ve fired several clips at them and finished them off with grenades, no one can guarantee that, passing by their bodies after some time, you won’t encounter one that has risen again, and even more dangerous.
How to Defeat the Singers
The singers are almost indistinguishable from regular infected – they have roughly the same health pool. Before engaging with them in combat, we advise stocking up on at least one makeshift knife – this will help save ammunition. Take a few shots to the head from a distance to make the zombie lose its balance or fall, and then approach closely and finish it off with a knife. Surprisingly, in this way, the singer will quickly perish, and you’ll be able to find a ancient coin in her place.
How to Kill the Chef (Butcher)
Few players attempt to fight this infected on their first playthrough, and this is entirely justified. The enemy is quite large, moves quickly, and is capable of killing with a single blow from its axe, so approaching it closely is extremely dangerous.
Before describing an effective way to eliminate him, it is worth noting: fighting this zombie is optional but very profitable. After his death, the butcher will leave behind a Key to the Pantry on the kitchen, and you won’t be able to get inside otherwise. Inside you will find two buckets of infected blood for collection, a single bullet for the “Requiem” revolver, the “Ambush” decoration (it increases the damage and durability of cold weapons), and a wooden (deformed) cabinet for Leon. In this cabinet will lie an accessory suitable for any weapon.
So, you can defeat the local cook in several ways:

- The easiest way is to use the holographic injector. You’ll only need one unit of the drug to make sure there’s no wet trace left of the zombie. You can get to it quite easily: at the beginning of the playthrough, it circulates on the first floor of the western wing.
- Use the “Requiem.” Note that the butcher is quite resilient, so you’ll have to spend a minimum of two shots.
How to kill
If you’ve already progressed a little further than the rehabilitation center, you’ve likely encountered this enemy while playing as Leon. However, you’ll also be able to defeat this foe when playing as Grace. He patrols the corridors of the eastern wing of the hospital and will often harass the heroine, especially when you head to the head of security’s office with the girl in your arms.
You can preemptively destroy this monster. Like other enemies in the game, Chunk has a certain amount of health. Of course, you can try to kill him with a standard pistol, but this is extremely inefficient – finding or crafting that many bullets is simply impossible.
The most effective way to deal with Chunk is to use homological injectors. We’re not accidentally emphasizing their quantity, as unlike other infected, Chunk can withstand two injections of this drug. To guarantee his death, you’ll need three injectors, and it doesn’t matter whether you administer them immediately or with breaks.
You can try to defeat the “boss” with Leon Kennedy’s revolver “Requiem”, but you may have trouble with ammunition. At the start, Grace only has one bullet, as Leon has already used four out of five to save his unexpected companion. Bullets for the revolver are crafted from rare scrap metal, which can be found in locked cabinets of the rehabilitation center. To kill Chunk, you’ll need a minimum of three bullets.
After defeating this giant, he will vanish into the floor, and in his place will remain the “Spy’s Eye” decoration. Place it in Grace’s inventory to receive a pleasant bonus: the chance to survive a fatal blow will significantly increase. This is especially useful on maximum difficulty Resident Evil Requiem, when any encounter with an enemy can prove fatal.
